On Sunday, April 6th, TEDxYouth@SeaburyHall will be hosting it’s inaugural event in Seabury Hall’s ‘A’ali’ikuhonua Creative Arts Center. During this day long event from 9 am to 4 pm, 12 middle and high school student speakers will be sharing their thoughts about how they see a better tomorrow. There will be several breaks throughout the day, during which you can enjoy performances by the Seabury Hall Hawaiian Music Ensemble, Seabury Hall Middle School Chorus, Art with Heart and Maui Flute Choir. The event will also include interactive workshops with groups such as Pacific Asian Affairs Council, Women in Tech, Maui Makers, Anthropology Club, and Earth Friends. In addition, a complimentary box lunch will be provided during the event’s lunch break.
The theme for our event is Imagining a Better Tomorrow. We want to inspire youth to change the world. We cannot relive the past, but we can change the future. Our imagination can take us anywhere we want! If we take the steps to actualizing our dreams, we will make the world a better place, so we encourage you to take a chance, stand by your beliefs and tell everyone that they have the power to make change now!
